Review of Kisses and Strudel by Jennifer Conner

A Christmas story to warm your heart. Book One in the continuing best-selling series, Places to See.

It was thoughtful of Aubri's boss to send her anywhere in the world for a Christmas gift. As the buyer for her department store, if Aubri traveled to Germany she could kill two birds. She'd find clever, unique German gifts while enjoying the sites. Aubri's mind was focused on work…that was, until she met Ryker. She was looking for nutcrackers and not a ruggedly handsome German who wanted to ask her out.

After finding himself blinded in a fall, Ryker spent most of his time working at his family's old world Christmas shop. His family loyalty ran deep and they needed him. Between his long work hours, he knew that it was twelve hundred cobblestones between his shop and the town square. Getting around town with little assistance and work was all he needed, or that's what he thought until he met Aubri.

Come for a fun filled holiday ride across the German countryside to see if Aubri and Ryker find that being out your comfort zone can also bring you love.

MY REVIEW:

KISSES AND STRUDEL IS BOOK 1 IN THE PLACES TO SEE SERIES. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SERIES.  I LOVE THE IDEA OF FINDING LOVE IN DIFFERENT PLACES ESPECIALLY DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.  IN KISSES AND STRUDEL, WE ARE INTRODUCED TO AUBRI WHOSE BOSS WANTS TO SEND HER ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT.  I WISH I HAD A BOSS LIKE THAT.  AUBRI CHOOSES GERMANY BUT PLANS ON WORKING WHILE SHE IS THERE.  SHE MEETS RYKER WHO IS BLIND AND WORKS FOR HIS FAMILY'S CHRISTMAS SHOP. AUBRI AND RYKER ARE ATTRACTED TO EACH OTHER INSTANTLY.  AS THEY SPEND MORE TIME TOGETHER EXPLORING GERMANY, THEY FIND THEMSELVES FALLING IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER.  WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN AUBRI'S VACATION IS OVER AND THEY BOTH RETURN TO THEIR LIVES?

JENNIFER CONNER IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS AND HER BOOKS DO NOT DISAPPOINT.  SHE DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH HER STORY LINES AND CHARACTERS.  HER CHARACTERS ARE SO BELIEVABLE AND REAL.  WITH REAL EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS.  THE AUTHOR DID AN EXCELLENT JOB DESCRIBING GERMANY.  IT MADE ME FEEL LIKE I REALLY WAS THERE.  I LOVED THE CONNECTION BETWEEN AUBRI AND RYKER.  RYKER IS PRETTY AMAZING.  HE IS BLIND AND GETS AROUND REALLY GOOD.  AT FIRST, I DIDN'T REALIZE HE WAS BLIND.  I WAS REALLY SURPRISED.  THE AUTHOR DID A GREAT JOB IN PORTRAYING RYKER'S BLINDNESS.  THE CHEMISTRY WAS THERE BETWEEN AUBRI AND RYKER AND SHE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF PORTRAYING BOTH CHARACTERS AS BEING WORKAHOLICS AND NOT TAKING THE TIME TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ KISSES AND STRUDEL AND THE PLACES TO SEE SERIES.  YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS AND PLACES.  YOU WILL ALSO FALL IN LOVE WITH THE AUTHORS WRITING.  I AM DEFINITELY LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE OF JENNIFER'S BOOKS.  SHE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT.  5 STARS
