The cycle of the moon can bring love... or death.

Time is running out for Astrid. If the wolf-shifter doesn’t find her soul’s mate before her twenty-fifth Blue Moon rises, the consequences will be fatal. With only three weeks left, things aren’t looking good... until Erec, a smooth-talking rogue wolf, lands at her feet.

The strange spark between them leaves Astrid wondering if this mysterious man could be the one meant to break her curse. But can she trust him?

From the moment Jerrick killed the only man Erec ever looked up to, Erec vowed to stop the crazed wolf. Partnering with the west-side pack seemed the logical move to accomplish that goal. But he never expected to fall for the alpha’s beautiful daughter, and now this lone wolf is wondering if she could be the one to save him from the curse.

With imminent dangers looming and the swirling patterns on their skin marking them for death, can Astrid and Erec save the west-side pack from the encroaching pack before their last Blue Moon rises in the sky?

Each book in the Shifters Unleashed series can be read as a standalone:

I've always been a creative individual. Writing is just a facet of that creativity...

My careers in public relations in and around the entertainment industry, photography, editing, artist management, modeling and special event planning all elevated my passion for writing, not to mention gave me a treasure trove for story lines.

I write women's fiction; contemporary romance (as Jamie Salisbury) and historical romance (as JR Salisbury) which is ever evolving. I am fortunate enough that writing (and marketing of said product(s)) is my full-time job, although I always have one or two other projects going at the same time.

I now live in a suburb of Atlanta. Some of my other interests include photography, equestrianism, reading, and of course, travel.

I sincerely hope my writing will entertain, enlighten, and inspire others to pick up the pen and pursue their own dreams. I love to be contacted by readers, writers, and history buffs.

Magnificent Mind

GENRE: Self-help

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
This book will help you understand your thinking. You are never broken inside; you just need to take yourself, your thinking, and your life less seriously. There is a divine wisdom always present and waiting for you to listen to it. There is no one — and I mean no one — wiser than you and me. We all have available to us this wisdom that is ready and willing to help you to be safe, to be happy, and to live a most fulfilling life. There is really nothing for you to do except read and watch for a lovely feeling to develop inside of you. This feeling is with you from birth; it is your ever-present inner energy of psychological well-being. Most of us cannot experience this inner spark of well-being because we have learned to think of ourselves as inadequate. The words in this book are meant to take you back to the gentle feeling of peaceful contentment and love for self and others. Relax, and see if you can find your way back to yourself, your inner home inside of you. You need not look anywhere other than inside yourself to find all that you truly want and need. It doesn’t matter what your life looks like now; you are capable of turning it around into a heavenly life while here on this Earth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

EXCERPTS (Exclusive Excerpt):

Your inner wisdom will always guide you, if you listen and let it in. If you get quiet inside of your head, then your inner thoughts can come from your inner wisdom. When we are feeling judgmental, or self-conscious, or just plain uncomfortable inside, then usually it is just that noise in our head talking loudly. I call this noise your intellectual thinking which results from your opinions and beliefs. True wisdom holds pretty much no opinions or judgments. A lot of inner chatter is usually just going to mess you up with ideas that are not coming from your true inner wisdom or your mind.

Most of our creative and helpful thoughts come from our true wisdom, or universal mind, or universal intelligence. In contrast, many people will go their whole lives mostly just thinking from their intellect or their personal mind where they only have access to information that is learned in this life and now held in the brain as a memory. To get to your really interesting thoughts, your truly creative mind, you must access the universal mind. You do this by learning to quiet your mind.

You are now on your way to realizing that your unhealthy thoughts don’t have to mean anything at all; they are not usually true or helpful for you to reach the best solution. Most people do not realize that most of their thoughts do not require an action. They think that if they have a thought, they have to act on that thought. Yet you do not need to react to most of your thoughts. This leads to the realization that often we can turn away from our thoughts; often nothing needs to be done. We don’t have to believe most of our thoughts.

We have between sixty thousand to one hundred thousand thoughts per day and we just let most of them slide on through us; we don’t give them our attention. It is when we stop on an unpleasant thought that we get ourselves into trouble. Maybe the thought that you stop on is, “I am a useless person,” and then you start to feel like a useless person. You may start acting like a useless person. You mistakenly believe the thought because you thought it, so it must be true. Now you are acting like a useless person.

The truth is that thoughts are not necessarily true; you may just need to ignore the thoughts that don’t serve you well. Once you learn to let the unwanted thought pass through your head, you can then begin stopping on the thoughts that serve you well and just simply ignore the thoughts that are not good for you.

Write Now Literary is pleased to be organizing a two-week book tour and Amazon Gift Card Giveaway For Such A Time As This, by Waletta Dunn. The book tour will run August 16-27,2021.

Genre: Christian Fiction

ISBN-13: 979-8529440100

Waletta Mason Dunn (W Mason Dunn) is the author of More Than Sisters, Faithful Father, A Family Dilemma, Positions of Compromise and Tell Me Your Story: A Family Journal.

Waletta is a Louisiana native. She was born in Shreveport and raised in Bossier City. Reading has been a part of her life from a very young age.

Graduating from Texas College in Tyler, Texas, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from The University of Oklahoma. For over twenty years, she worked for higher education before deciding to write full time. She currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida with her husband, Donald.

Kiesha Jackson's peaceful life is about to change!

Her mother receives military orders to Afghanistan. Keisha goes to live with her grandparents in Magnolia, Florida. The new high school principal is far more concerned with protecting her career than protecting innocent students. When Kiesha unintentionally breaks the school's zero-tolerance policy, she enters the school-to-prison pipeline.

Will Keisha muddle in the injustice of it all? Or will she become a conduit for change?

A row of sparsely planted shrubs extended along the front of the house. She watched a large lizard leap from one of the front windows onto the decorative plant before knocking on the front door. After a moment, the door swung open to reveal a petite blond-haired, blue-eyed woman holding an adorable blond-haired, blue-eyed toddler boy. The child removed the sippy cup from his lips and tendered a delightful gum-filled smile. Chaos lay on the other side of the threshold—scattered toys and clothes, and a child dancing with Barney the Dinosaur blaring from the television. The clamor of screaming children reverberated out from other places in the house.

The woman wrinkled her nose before speaking. “Hello? I wish I’d known that sooner.

It was a phrase I used often when I was a new mother. Parenting a new baby was overwhelming and I had no idea what I was doing. Occasionally a seasoned parent would share a parenting tip that would make my life easier. “Get as much sleep as you can when you can” or “accept all the help you can get” were two of my favorite ones. When I brought my newborn daughter home, I wanted to be the best mother possible. I’d spend her sleeping moments doing the things I couldn’t get around to do when she was awake. I was exhausted most of the time. But I heeded the advice of other parents and began sleeping when my daughter was asleep. I even asked and received help from other family and friends.

If only I’d known those tips on the first day my daughter came home.

Each time I release a book it’s like giving birth. I put in a lot of hard work and sacrificed a lot of time to share my new book baby with the world. There were mistakes learned along the way and lessons learned as well. Here are 10 things I wish I knew about being an author I didn’t know before. Perhaps these tips will help other new authors.

1. Read-Read often. It will increase your vocabulary and your creativity. You’ll also learn what good writing looks and sounds like.

2. Write-Release your thoughts. Practice your skill.

3. Study-Perfect your craft by taking classes and workshops.

4. Network-Get to know others who are doing what you want to do.

5. Ask for feedback-It can be difficult for a writer to read their work with objectivity. Feedback can provide an unbiased perspective.

6. Know your audience-Focus on what your reader will read, understand, and they will hunger for more.

7. Research-Get the facts right.

8. Save your work-Recycle deleted scenes into future manuscripts.

9. Edit-We all make mistakes. Sometimes they are easy to identify; Sometimes, they are not. After you complete a self-edit, spend money on professional editing. It is worth the time and money.

10. Outline-Creating an outline for your manuscript is like using a roadmap for travel. There are lots of ways to reach your destination. Using a map will help you stay on track.

The journey from idea to print can be both scary and rewarding. But with a few insider tips, the new author can avoid a few pitfalls. So, birth your book and share it with the world. And don’t forget to enjoy the journey.
