Review of Onyx Unleashed by Tanya Vought Book Tour

Title: ONYX UNLEASHED
Author: Tanya Vought

Publisher: Black Widow Publishing

Released: September 10, 2015

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Blurb:

When good and evil collide, who will be left standing?
Eden Cross is lonely. If she didn’t have her beloved cat, Onyx, she’d have no one at all. Eden longs for companionship, but, being a prisoner, all she gets is foul-mouthed demons and hatred from the one man she wants respect from the most.
Collier Brigham is son of the King of Demons. Bitter with hatred, like his father, he’s expected to be a force to be reckoned with. He never believed love would rear its ugly head in his favor. Especially not when the woman is the daughter of the man who is to blame for the deaths of his mother and brother.
She is a beautiful force of nature and he is misery personified. When secrets are revealed, can they see past the unthinkable and work together to right their wrongs?

EXCERPT
Prologue

As the sun shines through the curtains, it illuminates and lands perfectly on Eden's face—the breathtaking beauty lying on the bed next to me. I fear one day, she will realize who I am. I want to only be known as her beloved Onyx. She looks at me with such warmth and love. She cares for me and I've come to care for her greatly.
Licking my fur, patting it down, I wish I could be someone else. Why couldn't have I fallen in love with someone else? With her I can love. Why does she have to be so damn beautiful? Why on all that is holy does she have to be the one who takes my breath away and make my dark heart beat again?

All of these thoughts make a growl erupt from my mouth, loud enough to wake the beauty next to me. I meow trying to soften the loud noise I just created. She smiles as she reaches for me and looks into my eyes, and it’s like she's actually looking into my soul for the first time in all these years.

MY REVIEW:

ONYX UNLEASHED IS A PARANORMAL ROMANCE UNLIKE ANY PARANORMAL ROMANCES YOU HAVE READ BEFORE.  WE ARE INTRODUCED TO EDEN WHO IS A PRISONER OF COLLIER BRIGHAM, SON OF THE KING OF THE DEMONS.  COLLIER IS SO FULL OF HATRED JUST LIKE HIS FATHER BUT HE IS ALSO DIFFERENT.  EDEN WANTS NOTHING MORE THAN TO HAVE HIS RESPECT AND IS ATTRACTED TO HIM.  COLLIER'S FATHER BLAMES EDEN'S FATHER FOR THE DEATH OF HIS WIFE AND SON.  DESPITE COLLIER'S HATRED OF EDEN'S FATHER, HE DEFIES AND PROTECTS EDEN FROM HIS OWN FATHER.

COLLIER FINDS HIMSELF ATTRACTIVE  TO EDEN AND GOES TO GREAT LENGTHS TO KEEP EDEN AWAY FROM HIS FATHER.  HE IS VERY PROTECTIVE AND SEES THAT SHE ISN'T HARMED.  AS TIMES PASSES, YOU SEE COLLIER START TO CHANGE.  HE HATES TO SEE EDEN SO MISERABLE AND DOES LITTLE THINGS FOR EDEN TO MAKE HER HAPPY.

EDEN IS TAKEN AND COLLIER REALIZES THAT HE MUST FIND HER BECAUSE HE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT HER.  ONCE COLLIER FINDS EDEN, SECRETS ARE REVEALED THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.  WILL THE SECRETS DESTROY THEIR LOVE AND WILL THEY DEFEAT COLLIER'S FATHER?

I REALLY LOVED ONYX UNLEASHED.  I LOVE THE PARANORMAL ELEMENT TO THE STORY.  I LOVE HOW IT IS GOOD VERSUS EVIL.  TANYA DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE STORYLINE AND THERE ARE ALOT OF SURPRISES IN THE STORY.  THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT PARANORMAL CHARACTERS THROUGHOUT THE BOOK.  THERE ARE SOME CHARACTERS YOU WILL LOVE AND SOME THAT YOU WILL TRULY HATE LIKE COLLIER'S FATHER.

I LOVED EDEN AND COLLIER.  THERE DEFINITELY WAS CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THEM AND THEIR LOVE WAS VERY REAL.  ALTHOUGH AT FIRST, I DISLIKED COLLIER BUT ONCE HE WAS AWAY FROM HIS FATHER AND THE HOLD HE HAD ON HIM, HE WAS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MAN.  HE WAS SO SWEET AND SO VERY ROMANTIC.

IF YOU LOVE PARANORMAL ROMANCES OR EVEN PARANORMAL, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ ONYX UNLEASHED.  IT WAS A VERY ENJOYABLE AND ENTERTAINING STORY.  YOU WILL LOVE TANYA'S WRITING.  SHE HAS AWAY OF BRINGING HER CHARACTERS TO LIFE AND YOU CAN FEEL ALL OF THEIR EMOTIONS.  I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE OF HER BOOKS.  SHE HAS BECOME ANOTHER FAVORITE AUTHOR OF MINE.  5 STARS
