Review of Christmas Ivy by Joanne Jaytanie

Ivy’s always been a part of Christmas; can this Ivy put down roots in Forever Christmas, where the spirit of the holidays never fades?

Ivy Harper is a survivor. Deprived of college by a selfish mother and stuck in a dead-end job that can’t pay the bills, it’s the last straw when she finds herself a crime victim, too. Hoping for a new start, she flees to the big city, only to end up homeless. Her one chance is an intern program that offers a new life on a farm outside a small town. But can a farm job provide Ivy’s artistic soul the security and fulfillment she needs?

Mason Weatherly is exhausted. A leading surgeon, ER doc, and specialist in internal medicine, Dr. Weatherly is in constant demand. Unfortunately his seventeen-hour days and long weeks mean he has no relationship or personal life. Frazzled and desperate for a break, Mason decides to visit his brother, Colton, before Colton settles down. Mason needs to discover for himself how a small town and a tree farm managed to tame his career-driven brother.

MY REVIEW

CHRISTMAS IVY IS A CONTINUATION OF THE FOREVER CHRISTMAS SERIES.  FOREVER CHRISTMAS TREE FARM IS A MAGICAL PLACE THAT KEEPS THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT ALIVE ALL YEAR LONG.  IT BRINGS HOPE, LOVE AND HAPPINESS TO MANY PEOPLE  ANNIE, LINDSAY, JULIET AND ADELAIDE, THE OWNERS OF THE FARM NEVER THOUGHT THEIR BUSINESSES WOULD TAKE OFF AS THEY HAVE.   THE LADIES HAVE FOUND LOVE AND SO MUCH HAPPINESS AT THE TREE FARM AND REALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD.  THEY NEED HELP AND  JULIET RUNS ACROSS A PROGRAM CALLED LIFE BRIDGE WHICH GIVES WOMEN A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE.  ANNIE, LINDSAY, JULIET AND ADELAIDE AGREE THAT IT IS A GOOD IDEA.  NOT ONLY ARE THEY GETTING HELP BUT THEY ARE HELPING WOMEN BEGIN A NEW LIFE.

WE ARE INTRODUCED TO IVY WHO IS A SURVIVOR BUT IS CURRENTLY STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE.  SHE LIVES IN A HOMELESS SHELTER WHILE WORKING AT A DEAD END JOB.  WHEN SHE HEARS ABOUT THE INTERN PROGRAM, SHE JUMPS AT THE CHANCE TO START HER LIFE OVER AGAIN. IVY GETS TO WORK WITH JULIET AT HER STAIN GLASS SHOP AND LEARNS A NEW SKILL.   THEN SHE MEETS MASON, COLTON'S BROTHER AND THE SPARKS FLY.  MASON IS A SURGEON WHO IS EXHAUSTED AND DOESN'T HAVE A TIME FOR A LIFE.  AS MASON AND IVY SPEND TIME TOGETHER GETTING TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER, THEY FIND THEMSELVES FALLING IN LOVE.  WILL IVY AND MASON HAVE THEIR HAPPILY EVER AFTER?

CHRISTMAS IVY IS A DELIGHTFUL, SUSPENSEFUL, AND ROMANTIC CHRISTMAS STORY.  I LOVE ALL THE NEW CHARACTERS BROUGHT INTO THE STORY AND DEFINITELY THE OLD ONES. JOANNE BRINGS THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS TO LIFE IN HER STORY AND THE TRUE MEANING.  I LOVE HER WRITING.  SHE HAS A WAY OF DRAWING YOU INTO THE STORY AND MAKING YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTER.   I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ CHRISTMAS IVY AND THE REST OF THE CHRISTMAS FOREVER SERIES.  YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.  5 STARS
