Review of Noose by Brennan Lafaro

It's been fifteen years since Noose Holcomb perpetrated the Buzzard's Edge Train Robbery of 1872, leaving Rory Daggett an orphan. Settled in with a new family and a second chance at life, Rory never quite sheds the thirst for revenge. When one of the gang members returns to Buzzard's Edge, Rory's life is violently upended once more. Capturing the rogue spurs on a furious chain of events that pits Rory against each member of Noose's gang, every one more twisted and terrifying than the last, in order to work his way to their leader. With the help of a fellow orphan whose life Noose turned upside down and the town's sheriff, Rory will stop at nothing to be the man who ends Noose's reign of terror, but can he do it without becoming the man he seeks to kill?

MY REVIEW:

NOOSE IS A FAST PACE HORROR WESTERN THAT WILL PULL YOU INTO THE STORY FROM THE VERY FIRST PAGE. WHEN RORY WAS YOUNGER, HIS PARENTS WERE MURDERED RIGHT BEFORE HIS EYES BY NOOSE HOLCOMB. RORY WAS LEFT ALIVE BUT ALWAYS WANTED TO SEEK REVENGE AGAINST THE MAN WHO TOOK EVERYTHING FROM HIM. WHEN ONE OF NOOSE'S GANG COMES TO TOWN, RORY ONCE AGAIN LOSES THE ONES HE LOVES TO THIS EVIL MAN AND GANG. THIS TIME, RORY WILL END NOOSE'S REIGN OF TERROR AND HAVE HIS VENGEANCE.

I REALLY LOVED READING NOOSE. IT WAS SUCH A FUN READ. I NORMALLY DON'T READ WESTERNS BUT I LOVED HOW BRENNAN LAFARO, AUTHOR CREATED A WESTERN STORY FILLED WITH VIOLENCE, PARANORMAL AND HORROR. I LOVED THE MAIN CHARACTER, RORY.  HE WAS SUCH A STRONG CHARACTER WHO FACED SO MUCH LOSS BUT IT MADE HIM A STRONGER AND BETTER PERSON. NOOSE IS A FAST-PACED, AND THRILLING READ THAT LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOOSE AND CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES. 4 STARS.
