Review Taking Notes on Murder A Fiona Quinn Mystery by C.S. McDonald
Mysterious notes are showing up in Fiona’s kindergarten classroom claiming a suicide from 2005 was actually a homicide. Detective Landry maintains the messages are too vague, possess no integrity, and do not warrant a review of the old case. Fiona’s not convinced. She’s determined to find the author of the enigmatic notes and uncover the truth about a man who had many secrets and countless enemies, including Fiona’s mother and former suspect—Nancy Quinn!
Can Fiona crack this cold case and what will it take to get Detective Landry involved? Don’t miss taking notes on this murder!
MY REVIEW:
TAKING NOTES ON MURDER IS ANOTHER GREAT INTRIGUING MYSTERY WITH TWISTS AND A LOT OF SUSPECTS. FIONA IS A KINDERGARTEN TEACHER WHO FINDS HERSELF INVOLVED IN MURDER CASES. SHE STARTS RECEIVING NOTES IN HER CLASSROOM ALLEGING A SUICIDE FROM 2005 WAS A MURDER. THE NOTES DO NOT GIVE ENOUGH DETAILS OR INFORMATION FOR DETECTIVE LANDRY TO REOPEN THE CASE. WHEN FIONA IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, DETECTIVE LANDRY STARTS INVESTIGATING. WILL HE DISCOVER THE TRUTH BEFORE ITS TOO LATE FOR FIONA? FIONA HAS A SECRET. WILL HER MOTHER NANCY DISCOVER IT?
THE FIONA QUINN MYSTERIES ARE A DELIGHTFUL AND ENJOYABLE READ. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF LAUGHING OUT LOUD. EACH STORY IS UNIQUE IN ITS OWN WAY AND YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH ALL THE CHARACTERS. FIONA SEEMS TO FIND TROUBLE AND MURDER WHEREVER SHE GOES. SHE LOVES SOLVING MYSTERIES ALONG WITH HER SIDEKICKS, DETECTIVE LANDRY, HARRIET AND GRANDMA EV.
I AM A BIG FAN OF C.S. MCDONALD'S WRITING AND THIS SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE FIONA QUINN MYSTERIES, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING. 5 STARS

Hey! Don't miss C.S. McDonald's new addition to Fiona Quinn Mysteries--Fiona Quinn QUICK Mysteries! What's that? Short Stories (about 30/40 pages) for a quick bedtime read or if you're stuck with a long wait in a doctor's office (we've all been there). Four shorts in all. Check them out!
Okay, now for something seriously new--a new cozy mystery series, The Owl's Nest Mysteries--Meet Alexa Owl, she's returned home to Pittsburgh to start a new business, the Owl's Nest Couturier Shop. By the way, most of the Fiona Quinn Mysteries and short stories are now available on Audible--narrated by the talented, Maren Swenson Waxenberg!
